Mold Remediation is the removal of contaminated material in the safest manner possible to keep your home, office or place of business safe. All of our Mold Remediation projects start with an walkthrough of your property to help develop our Mold Remediation Work Plan and estimate. The Mold Remediation Work Plan is built off the Mold Remediation Protocol that was provided by the Mold Assessor. Once this have been done we will schedule a start date.
Mold Remediation as defined by the State of Florida "means the removal, cleaning, sanitizing, demolition, or other treatment, including preventive activities, of mold or mold-contaminated matter of greater than 10 square feet that was not purposely grown at that location; however, such removal, cleaning, sanitizing, demolition, or other treatment, including preventive activities, may not be work that requires a license under chapter 489 unless performed by a person who is licensed under that chapter or the work complies with that chapter. "
Our Mold Assessment involves an in-depth investigation of your home, office or place of business. As part of the Mold Assessment, we will ask detailed questions about your property to help formulate our initial hypothesis. The use of moisture meters and moisture mapping to help discover the extent of the damage, contents above 17% moisture indicates damaged material and should be removed, damaged/wetted material left in the space can start to grow mold within 48 hours. After our investigation we will develop a Mold Assessment Report along with a Mold Remediation Protocol so that the mold can be properly removed and the indoor air quality can be restored.
As defined by the State of Florida a Mold Assessment “means a process performed by a mold assessor that includes the physical sampling and detailed evaluation of data obtained from building history and inspection to formulate an initial hypothesis about the origin, identity, location and extent of amplification of mold growth of greater than 10 square feet.”
The Post Remediation Verification is one of the most important parts to completing the mold project. This test gives the clearance to put the home, office or place of business back together.
Post Remediation Verification is a detailed visual inspection of the remediated area, along with getting a particle count. With the visual inspection the area should be clean and no signs of visible mold. Then the Mold Assessor will take an air sample to verify that the remediation has been completed.
